
Pielah Kim is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Marymount Manhattan College.
Trained as a visual artist, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As a fashion marketer, Pielah played a pioneering role in launching major American brands—including Gap, Banana Republic, and Ralph Lauren—in the Asian market. To advance her expertise in global fashion marketing, she pursued further studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC), Institut Français de la Mode (Paris), and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, earning a Master’s in Global Fashion Management. Her passion for knowledge led her to complete a PhD in Fashion and Retail Studies at The Ohio State University.
Pielah’s rich and diverse experiences—spanning art, fashion, and marketing—have established her as a distinguished expert in the field of art X fashion marketing.​
Pielah resides in both New York City and Seoul.
